Harbor Q -- Good BBQ in Port Washington

In my never ending search to find good food in the suburbs, we decided to try a Barbecue joint in Port Washington.  Harbor Q is in a non-descript building on Old Shore Road.  We went on a Saturday night expecting to wait at least a half hour similar to Smoking Al's in Bayshore.  When we arrived, there was no wait at all.  Not a good sign.  I also thought the name was a little too cutesy in that it is located in Port Washington and played off of that with Harbor Q to describe their food.  But in the end, we enjoyed dinner and found Harbor Q to be authentic BBQ not usually found in the tri-state area.

The corn bread was light and tasty.  They served home made potato chips like chips should be served.  I decided that I wanted my own special combination.  Normally my wife gets upset with me when I do this because most places are not very flexible with this.  I want to try their wings, pulled chicken and of course, their baby back ribs.  Everything was excellent.  We also loved build your own salad which you do not typically see in barbecue joints.  Definitely worth a trip.
