Favor Bank Update

I was out to dinner with some friends and the discussion turned to the Favor Bank and how one of the guys owed me a favor.  He pointed out that my favor was canceled because I was mean to him at one time.

Can a favor be reversed through some bad behavior to another person?  I acknowledge that I can be mean but that is irrelevant.  I asked a few others and most people believe that favors can be canceled by either bad or inappropriate behavior since a favor is a personal obligation from one person to another.  So according to this theory, a negative action can cancel a positive one (the favor)

Even though I do not agree with that kind of logic, I have to comply with the majority.  The Favor Bank can not work if people have their own definitions of what the rules are.

As a result, I will need to make sure that my behavior remains above board.  I would hate to lose my deposits in the Favor Bank.

    David,
You have written a few posts about The Favor Bank, I have setup a website Favorbank.eu to further the practice of making deposits the Favor Bank. Would you be interested in having your articles posted to Favorbank.eu or maybe you would consider doing a fresh article summarising your articles.
    Best wishes,
