Pure Spa Direct ... An adventure from Crusty to Creamy
Today I sat down with Rebeca Cardenas for a conversation on her view relating to the benefits of continuing education. Rebeca is the Chief Executive Officer of Pure Spa Direct. For those who do not know about Pure Spa Direct, it is one of the fastest growing business to business suppliers, selling luxurious nail, spa, salon and tanning products.
The conversation relating to the value of continuing education was pretty typical. When we starting discussing the power of education in retail, the conversation quickly turned to a live demonstration. She ended up corning me into getting a three step hand treatment.
As background, I do not really love spa services. Maybe something to do with strange people touching me regardless of their beauty. I know I have a few issues but recognizing it is the first step. So you can assume that I started this process with negative views towards its outcome.
Anyway, I received the following treatments:
- Q Smart Spa's Mandarin-Honey Sugar Scrub
- Q Smart Spa's Mandarin Citrus Hydrating Lotion
- Q Smart Spa's White Tea Moisture Mask
To say that I was skeptical is an understatement. Rebeca kept saying that I needed to relax and that I would love the results. I did tell her that these treatments sounded more like chicken marinade than spa treatments but then again my passion is grilling while hers is spa services.
We applied the scrub and the lotion to my right hand. My first reaction was that the scrub felt like I was putting my hand in goo. At the end of this treatment, my right hand looked all smooth and clean while she described my left hand as all crusty, a comforting thought. I had to admit that my hand did feel nice and smooth and looked great.
I thanked Rebeca and was about to leave when she almost tied me down for the White Tea Moisture Mask. I was hoping that I was going to get some tea and dessert but I was wrong. Once again, I was repulsed by the feel of this gunk. But, at the end of these treatments, I had to admit to Rebeca that my hands looked and felt much better.
Even though I am still against people touching me, I am not too opposed to the chocolate cake sugar scrub with the hope that there is some food involved.
